3 nights in Cohuna with Kerrie, Ross, Hil and Tim (22nd April – 25thApril)
Our longest towing experience yet (about 3.5 hrs) and the first time we had been to Cohuna. The first time all 3 vans had been together.
Our site was wet red dirt, not ideal for the first time we used our lovely new mat but thank goodness we had it or all that red wet would have been in the van!
We were a pretty long walk to the toilets and showers. Everything was very clean. Great water pressure and fabulous hot water. The amenities were a bit old and tired.
Big caravan park on the lake. Lots of permanent vans but they were all neat and tidy.
Kerrie and Ross had a site right on the water, it was all grass. Hil and Tim were across from the water, their site was a mix of dirt and grass. Ours was all dirt. RIght on the boundary fence which was also a footpath into town. The first night it was pretty noisy with traffic but it did settle and wasn’t as annoying as I thought it was going to be.
The park was a short walk into town. It was a really nice walk past the lake and park. Cohuna is a pretty town.
Lunch from Pie face in Heathcote
A look around the park
Our camp sites
We worked our porta potty out!
We drove into Barham, looked at the shops, scoped out the caravan park for a potential visit another time then had lunch at the Services club
We had a nice walk into the town of Cohuna on the Sunday to the market (about 10 stalls)
Not the prettiest showers but great hot water pressure
Lots of relaxing and craft was achieved, may have been a few coffees with baileys and kahlua
We got our hot water working!
Packing up and heading home after a great weekend with friends
